In this Chapter, we went through the Google Anthos Clusters on Bare metal offering and looked at the installation and deployment model supported by it.
Anthos clusters on Bare metal provide the flexibility to enterprises to run Anthos Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters directly on their own environment/on-premises data center, without the overhead of any virtualized environment.
Running Anthos clusters directly on your own infrastructure, gives the same unified capabilities of managing and monitoring Anthos on the cloud with improved performance, security, cost and direct control of the applications running inside your own enterprise infrastructure.
For installing Anthos Cluster on Bare metal, we went through the hardware and software prerequisite, deployment model and installed hybrid cluster on Ubuntu servers.
At the end, we deployed a sample application on our hybrid cluster and invoked it successfully.
